Knowledge base.
Teach the AI what you know so it can answer for you.
Your AI’s source of truth.
The knowledge base is what the AI reads before it answers. The better it is, the better the replies. Most of the work in setting up KalTalk is feeding it the right things.
Five ways to add knowledge.
- Article
- Write something short directly in the dashboard.
- Markdown
- Upload a markdown file. Good for internal docs.
- Manuals, policies, contracts.
- URL
- Point us at one page on your site.
- Sitemap
- Point us at a sitemap and we read every page in it. Best for help centers.
We keep your knowledge fresh.
URL and Sitemap sources reindex on their own, on a schedule that matches your plan. Static sources - articles, markdown, PDFs - update only when you change them.
- Pro
- Weekly
- Team
- Daily
- Growth
- Every 6 hours
- Enterprise
- Hourly
Need it picked up right now? Click Reindex on the source. Want a specific source to stop auto-updating? Toggle it off on the source row.
Your AI keeps working.
If a reindex fails - origin down, page returning 404, anything - we leave the existing knowledge alone. Your AI keeps answering from what it already had. The source row shows the last successful update plus the most recent failure, so you see both.
A page that disappears from your site once isn’t removed immediately. It only goes away after a few crawls in a row confirm it’s really gone. Transient blips never wipe good content.
See where the AI got stuck.
The dashboard shows you the questions where the AI couldn’t find a confident answer. That’s your to-do list - write a help article for each one and the gap closes.
